Project Overview
Giocamondo Study is a major Italian provider of study-abroad and educational travel experiences for students. I was brought in to extend and enhance their existing WordPress website, adding new pages, functional improvements, and custom features built with Elementor, PHP, and custom JavaScript — all while maintaining brand consistency and performance.
The Challenge
The goal was to evolve the current platform without a full redesign by:
Adding new program pages that present destinations, exchange experiences, and travel information.
Improving navigation and structure as the platform continues to grow.
Introducing functionality that improves user engagement and clarity during the selection process.
Ensuring the additions integrated seamlessly into the existing site’s design.
The Process
To achieve this, I:
Created new modular pages in Elementor tailored to different travel programs and youth study experiences.
Developed custom PHP and JavaScript features for dynamic content, enhanced filtering, and better interaction.
Refined UI elements using custom CSS to ensure visual consistency and responsiveness.
Optimized content layout to help students and families better understand each travel opportunity.
Supported scalability so the brand can expand with new destinations and seasonal offerings.
